Let's Twist Again

Essential for all motorcyclists from weekend riders to racers, Twist of the Wrist II brings Keith Code's best selling book vividly to life. Produced by Keith Code himself, the founder of The California Superbike School and trainer of numerous championship winning riders worldwide, the DVD demonstrates precision techniques for overcoming barriers to cornering such as rider input, fundamentals on steering, visual skills, braking, body position, throttle control and more. It is the perfect introduction to the skills taught by the California Superbike School and is an equally useful refresher for past students.
One such rider, coached by Keith Code and UK School Director Andy Ibbott, is Leon Camier, who won the 2009 British superbike Championship with Airwaves Yamaha.
"The way it's all broken down, in a simple way, you get a real understanding of what you're doing when you're riding a bike” states Leon. “The real proof that these techniques work comes with the improvement I see right away in my riding and my lap times."
Leon started as a student of the School back in 2004. Having completed a 2-day Camp followed by schools in the USA, and some private coaching with Keith Code, he took the British Supersport title.
"All the top riders I've worked with are completely unique, highly individual and driven from within. But there is a thread of continuity, a special quality in all of them, intense interest, and Leon's Camier's version of that quality is exceptional. From the very first moment of training, he's been an absolute pleasure to work with. His history-making season was no big surprise to me" says Keith Code.
Having defended his title the following year moved to the Superbike class in 2007 and had a terrible accident at Cadwell Park, breaking his leg on the Mountain section.
“In 2008 Leon and I started working together to help him become a real challenge in BSB and he won his first BSB race at Snetterton that year” explains UK Director Andy Ibbott.
“This year Leon came again to the 2-day Camps only days before he was due to start the season on a nearly standard Yamaha R1. Leon has managed 17 wins (an all time record) and was crowned British Superbike Champion this October - well done mate!”
