Chris Walker to lead Team GB at MCN Festival

Chris Walker has confirmed that he will lead the Team GB in the Transatlantic Trophy races, being held at the MCN Festival of Motorcycling on the weekend of 14th - 15 May.

Exclusive to the MCN Festival, the Trophy is the highlight for many visiors. Last year David Knight led the UK to victory over Kevin Schwantz and his Americans, winning the series by five races to three.

Double World Superbike champion Colin Edwards captains the 2016 USA team and has been  practising hard at his Boot Camp in Texas, keen to give the Brits a run for their money.

In addition to live action at the Festival, visitors will have opportunities to see and ride the latest bikes from BWM & CCM, Ducati, Indian, KTM, Suzuki,Triumph, Victory and.Yamaha. And Spanish manufacturer Bultaco will be bringing their new Brinco R moto-bike concept for people to try for the first time in the UK!

There will be plenty of classic metal on display as well - the National Motorcycle Museum is offering opportunities to ride a selection of classic bikes from its extensive collection and there will be regular classic race bike parades. Plus hundreds of motorcycles on show in the expanded Club Zone  and bargains galore in the huge retail zone and new autojumble area.

Savings on advance tickets for this year's MCN Festival of Motorcycling will be available until midday on Monday 9th May. Advance day tickets cost just £15, compared to £19 on the gate, and children under 15 go free when accompanied by a paying adult. Weekend camping tickets are also available, at just £35 in advance, (£40 on the gate).
