Award to savour for Mr Acumen


David Martin of Acumen Electronics received an unusual award to mark his 30th year in the motorcycle industry. At an exclusive dinner hosted by Norman Hyde at the historic Leamington Tennis Court Club, attended by many senior industry figures including Yamaha's Andrew Smith, Neil Tuxworth of Honda Racing, Keith Davies of 3X, ex-EMAP boss Sir Robin Miller and Lester Harris, Martin was presented with a ceremonial kebab skewer in recognition of the many kebabs he had consumed during numerous motorcycle shows and rides. David started his career at Coburn and Hughes as Technical Manager and went on to found Harley Davidson's UK operation before joining Datatool and finally joining Acumen alarms as Managing Director in 2002.
