BOS GTS race silencer for KTM690SMC

BOS exhausts have introduced a light race silencer for the KTM690SMC supermoto that delivers substantial increases in both power and torque at low revs. Based on the Dutch company’s popular GTS oval design, the BOS silencer weighs 3.7KG, which is 23% lighter than the original item. Testing on the factory dynamometer shows an increase of approximately 2 Hp in peak power (up from 59.4 Hp @ 6355 rpm to 61.1 Hp @ 6912 rpm). However, at lower revs the BOS silencer delivers a remarkable power boost; at 3975 rpm is 11.9 Hp higher than with the original item fitted. Fitting the BOS GTS has a similar effect on torque too, up an impressive 21.8 Nm at 3534 rpm. BOS supply the KTM690 silencer with a specially designed replacement air filter cover that assists with power release.
Power may be significantly increased but at 92.0 dB noise levels remain within the limits laid down for motorcycle sport (at 96.0 dB maximum).
