Cool options for new Peugeot Speedfight 3

Peugeot’s third generation Speedfight will be launched with a choice of air-cooled or liquid cooled engines when it appears in UK showrooms this summer. More than half a million Speedfight scooters have been sold over the past 14 years and demand for its latest incarnation is expected to be strong following a successful launch in Paris this April.
Completely redesigned from the ground up, the Speedfight 3 has a specification to match its freshly restyled bodywork and colour schemes. Enlarged 13” alloy wheels, 32mm upside down hydraulic forks and 215mm Shuricane front disc brake with radial dual piston calliper affirm the new Speedfight’s sporting credentials. Peugeot have created a spacious riding position by moving the fuel tank under the floorpan, allowing a class-leading 2 gallon capacity to be achieved. This also lowers the centre of gravity to give assured handling.
At 97KG the Speedfight 3 is one of the lightest machines in its class and powered by a new high performance horizontal 2-stroke 50 cc engine with a snakebite exhaust, its performance matches its looks. Peugeot even include a dual function 12V socket so that mobile phones and accessories can be charged on the move.
Prices for the range start at £1899 for the air-cooled version. The liquid-cooled option is further enhanced with a rear hydraulic disc brake and gas reservoir shock and sells at £2049. Three new colour schemes are available; blue sapphire/flash silver, red dragon/flash silver and grey stone/flash silver.
