Peugeot scooters 2010

Peugeot has been in business for 200 years and for more that half of that time the French company has been producing motorcycles, making it one of the longest established manufacturers in the world. Following the successful launch of the third generation Peugeot Speedfight last year Peugeot will introduce several new models in the popular 125cc category for 2010, as well as strengthening its range of 50cc scooters.
Kisbee 50
Designed as a practical scooter for general urban riding, the Kisbee 50 has a four-stroke engine and 12” wheels to deliver a good mix of performance and fuel consumption. Weighing just 85 kg and with a wide seat (with generous storage bay underneath) the Kisbee is easy to handle and its 170 mm front disc provides plenty of stopping power.
Vivacity 125
The eagerly anticipated 125cc version of the Vivacity is powered by a modern 4-stroke engine, making a nippy in-town scooter that is also practical for longer commutes. Its 8L fuel tank (located beneath the floor pan to create a low centre of gravity and enhance handling) means it has a wide range too. Like its 50cc siblings the Vivacity 125 features the front Jet-in storage compartment above the headlights (as well as underseat storage) and a useful 12V charging socket.
Tweet 125 (pictured)
Big wheel scooters are all the rage in Europe, because they offer superior handling, particularly over uneven road surfaces. The 125cc Tweet not only has 16” wheels but also features 33mm front telescopic shock absorbers and an adjustable rear shock to soak up the bumps. With its wheelbase of 1385mm it is agile too, while its 226mm front disc brake can stop it in a hurry. Its modern styling is inspired by the successful Peugeot Vivacity.
LXR 125
A compact big wheel scooter designed for city streets, the LXR has a punchy 125cc 4-stroke motor that helps it to go with the flow and dimensions that enable it to fit into tight spaces – very useful when parking. Its 8-litre fuel capacity gives an excellent range and the 220mm front brake disc delivers positive stopping power.
