Go for a Blast with Spyke in 2010
Premium Italian motorcycle clothing brand Spyke has introduced a new high tech sports leather jacket to complement its range of race specification suits. Spyke built its reputation on track - British Superbike contender Josh Brookes of HM Plant Honda is wearing Spyke this season – and the new Blaster jacket is derived from the race suit of the same name.
Whether racing or road riding, first class protection is crucial, so the Blaster jacket features full-grain cowhide construction, CE approved shoulder and elbow protectors and a pocket for a back protector. For added strength, composite fibres are used in the collar and cuffs and each shoulder features a hard shell TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane Elastometer) moulding. An interior waist zip connection allows attachment to trousers, to ensure the jacket does not ‘ride up’ during a fall, keeping the vulnerable lower back area covered.
The Blaster isn’t just about premium protection; extensive leather flex zones at the elbows, shoulders and back, stretch fabric flex zones on the arms and adjustable collar and waist closures ensure a snug fit with maximum movement.
Discreet, perforated panels at the chest area allow cooling airflow and the Blaster has a removable polyester and polyamide thermal quilted lining for the chilly days. Rounding off the impressive spec are two generous zip closure exterior pockets and a secure interior pocket.
The Blaster jacket is available in men’s sizes 40”-50” chest in black at a suggested retail price of £349.99. Spyke motorcycle clothing is distributed to UK dealers exclusively by the Key Collection.
