Norman Hyde steering damper for small-wheel Bonneville
Triumph performance specialist Norman Hyde has updated his popular steering damper to fit the 2009-on ‘small wheel’ Triumph Bonneville models, as well as the SE variant.Designed to inhibit uncontrolled movement of the handlebars, steering dampers are a practical upgrade for motorcycles with relatively narrow front tyres, like the 100/70 R17 type fitted to the current Bonneville’s cast aluminium 7-spoke wheels. Supplied with black powder coated aluminium brackets that are tailor made to fit the Triumph twin, the Hyde steering damper is just 27cm long and weighs approximately 500 grams (1 lb). With a choice of 7-settings, Hyde’s hydraulic steering damper helps the bike to hold its line, making it a particularly welcome when pushing hard over long bumpy corners or when crossing white lines, where ‘wobbles’ are often encountered. Riders who have fitted high handlebars can also find the bike becomes ‘light’ at the front end and the steering damper helps to address this too. Simple to fit and unobtrusive the Hyde steering damper is supplied with fittings and instructions for £164.50 inc. VAT. Call 01926 832345 or visit www.normanhyde.co.uk for details
