Eleven podiums for racers using Skidmarx screens at NW200

British-manufactured Skidmarx screens were fitted to the winning machines in both of the Superbike and Supersport races at the 2010 NW200 road races in Northern Ireland.

Relentless by TAS Suzuki rider Alastair Seeley made history when he won the feature Superbike event - the first Irish rider to do so in 13 years – setting a new lap record at 121.875mph into the bargain. Seeley also claimed victory in the Supersport 600 race.

John McGuinness of HM Plant Honda took top spot on the podium in the opening Superbike event, in which all of the podium places were occupied by Skidmarx supported riders. He also finished third in the feature Superbike race.

In the final Supersport race Ian Hutchinson on the Padgetts Honda was first across the line; he also took second in the opening Supersport race as well as the Superstock. Other riders taking podium places behind Skidmarx screens included
Conor Cummins (McAdoo Kawasaki), Ryan Farquhar (KMR Kawasaki) and Bruce Anstey (Relentless by TAS Suzuki).

In total more than two-thirds of the podiums in the supersport, superstock and superbike classes were taken by racers who crossed the line behind a Skidmarx screen. Manufactured at their Weymouth factory, retail prices for the race-derived double bubble screens for road bikes start at £49.95. Call Skidmarx on 01305 780808 or visit www.skidmarx.co.uk
