Make your k special with Skidmarx
New from Skidmarx, the double bubble screen and rear hugger for the BMW K1300S are inexpensive and simple to fit additions that provide extra protection for both bike and rider on the 175bhp hyper-tourer.
Designed in conjunction with top road racing teams, such as multiple TT winners Padgett's Honda, double bubble screens enhance the aerodynamics of the bike and increase the air pocket behind the screen, giving the rider greater protection during prolonged high speed riding. Supplied pre-drilled and made to fit directly onto the original mountings, double bubble screens retail at £59.95 (including VAT) in a choice of clear, light or dark tints. A range of coloured options can be ordered too, for a £6 surcharge. Replacement standard screens are also available, in clear, light or dark tints, priced at £54.95, while coloured versions cost £60.95.
Shielding the under-body, rear mono-shock and linkage from dirt and spray thrown up by the 190-section rear tyre, the Skidmarx hugger is a practical extra for riders planning to use the K1300 for long journeys. Manufactured in the UK from lightweight GRP fiberglass it comes with a fitting kit and mounts from a bracket that attaches to the swing arm, without the need for any modification to the bike itself. Available black priced £99.95 including VAT and there is also an ultra-light carbon fibre version at £144.95.
