Knox Scaphoid Protection System is even handier

Growing popularity and demand for their Scaphoid Protection System has lead British impact protection innovators, Knox, to expanded their range of SPS pads.

Commonly fractured in falls, the scaphoid is a small bone that connects the thumb to the wrist. It is notoriously difficult to heal, because it only receives a limited supply of blood. The patent protected Knox SPS is unique and consists of two low-friction polypropylene pads that are strategically placed on the palm of a glove. These pads eliminate the grab effect, when the outstretched hand makes contact with the ground, allowing the hand to slide forward at the same speed as the rider, reducing the risk of breaks or stress fractures.

Sport SPS:

With more aggressive styling and larger palm pad that also curves around the side of the hand, Sport SPS has been developed with input from racers like James Ellison in World Supersport (gloves pictured) and Jon Kirkham in British Superbikes.

Low Profile SPS:

The Low Profile version of SPS is a more conservative design, suitable for winter and touring styled gloves that are likely to be worn regularly and for long periods of time.

The Original SPS continues in the range, bridging the gap between Sport and Low Profile versions. This gives every pro-active motorcycle glove manufacturer three Knox SPS options.

Fitting:

It’s a simple and inexpensive addition to gloves that’s proven to make a big difference to rider protection. The SPS is standard equipment throughout the Knox Hand Armour range and is used by many leading brands around the world, including Teknic and Komodo (USA), Gimoto and Spyke (Italy), Racer (Austria), RS Tiachi (Japan), Weise (UK), Macadam (France), Lookwell (NL), Polo (Germany) and Richa (Belgium).
