Winter woes? Wear Spyke on your bike
Designed to deal with whatever the rider and the weather throw at it, the Spyke Cruiser jacket is packed with features, including: removable thermal and waterproof liners, a tough 600 denier outer shell and CE-approved armour, the Spyke High Visibility (SHV) system for safety in low light conditions, and no fewer than eight front pockets (four of them waterproof), plus a large rear pocket and five internal pockets. The Cruiser is available in S - 3XL, in black/black, white/black and red/black, at an RRP of £299.99.
British motorcyclists face unsettled and volatile weather conditions all year round, caused by damp sea air hitting dry air coming from the European land mass, and this calls for tough, versatile and functional clothing, like the new Spyke Cruiser jacket.
As well as keeping the rain out and insulating the body’s core, the Cruiser’s liners feature breathable 3D net zones in key areas, to help regulate body temperature during changeable conditions and prevent perspiration build-up. Both the waterproof and thermal liners can be removed and re-fitted – either individually, or together – to give the best possible combination for the conditions.
When the temperature rises, zip-adjustable ventilation on the sleeves and shoulders and removable panels on the torso can be utilised, allowing cool air to circulate around the upper body. For additional ventilation, two of the chest pockets can also be completely removed.
To help with visibility on dull days, the SHV system is integrated into the sleeves. Quick and easy to use, simply unfurl the high-viz band concealed in a pocket on the upper arm and attach it to the sleeve to catch the eye of other road users.
If the worst should happen, the tough Teflon-treated polymer outer shell, shoulder and elbow armour offer high abrasion resistance and impact protection. A pocket is also included for the fitment of a back protector.
Finally, to make sure the rider has everything they need with them, no fewer than eight front pockets are included, plus one large waterproof back pocket and five internal pockets.
