Keis in-vest in heat treatment
Heated clothing specialists Keis have updated their bodywarmer for
winter 2012/13. Their new X10 now comes in black, with elasticated side
panels for a perfect fit and is supplied with a free Temperature
Controller. The X10 also has an advanced cable management system - the
supply cables and controller have their own dedicated pocket within the
garment to keep things tidy and easy to find.
During winter months daytime temperatures in the UK rarely rise above 15°C (59°F) and by night can drop to −10°C (14°F), which makes it challenging to stay warm while riding a motorcycle, no matter how many layers are worn. For many all-season motorcyclists heated clothing provides a permanent solution.
The new X10 bodywarmer has 3 Heated panels, two over the chest at the front and a rear one covering the kidneys, all manufactured using the latest Metal Fibre Element Technology to provide reliable, even heating. To keep it fresh the X10 can be hand-washed and drip-dried.
When the bodywarmer is powered from a 12V source on the motorcycle the Temperature Controller enables the wearer to adjust the heat between 40º – 60º. Alternatively, KEIS offer rechargeable Li-ion battery packs, with either 2200mAh or 4000mAh capacity, which when used with a controller can provide up to 16 hours use. These give wearers the flexibility to use the bodywarmer for a variety of activities, including winter sports, hiking, horse riding, etc. Keis thoughtfully provide an internal pocket for the battery to keep it secure.
Additional power sockets under the arms and at the base allow wearers to 'daisy chain' Keis inner or outer gloves plus insoles if required, reducing the amount of cabling.
The KEIS X10 bodywarmer is available in XXS - XXL and retails for £109.99 including VAT. The optional battery pack/charger kits sell for £49.99 (2200 mAh) or £77.99 (4000 mAh).
