California Superbike School - COACH TRIAL AT ROCKINGHAM
California Superbike School will hold a coach try-out day at Rockingham on Monday 24th June.
>
> The day will be based around Level 1, the starting point for all students at the California Superbike School, and is open to riders whether they have attended the School before or not.
>
> All prospective coaches will receive five classroom briefings, each followed by a five track session on Rockingham's 1.7-mile long National Circuit, which combines long straights with fast left and right corners and a tight hairpin too. While out on track they will be shadowed by qualified riding coaches, who will be assessing how well they can put the classroom theory into riding practice.
>
> “Not only do you need to be a skilled rider to become a coach at the California Superbike School, you also need to be able to communicate the science behind the art of cornering too” explains general manager Richard 'Badger' Browne.
>
> The try out day is the first stage in the rigorous qualification process for California Superbike School coaches and is used to identify riders with both the aptitude and attitude to help students master the art of cornering. Once qualified, riding coaches have the opportunity to work not only in the UK but also at some overseas schools, supported by sponsors including Yamaha, HJC, Alpinestars and Oakley to name a few.
>
> Typically a day at the California Superbike School costs £399, but a limited number of coach try-out places are available for just £299. For more information visit www.superbikeschool.co.uk or call 08700 671 061.
