Peugeot Speedfight goes green for summer
Peugeot's iconic Speedfight scooter is now available in a mad black/crazy green colour scheme. The special edition Darkside model features a painted rear spoiler to match the bodywork, black alloy wheel rims, two-skin sport seat and stainless steel footplates.
Powered by a liquid-cooled 2-stroke engine, the Speedfight Darkside is responsive around town and its 32mm hydraulic front forks and 13” wheels with sports profile tyres deliver handling to match. Its dual piston radial caliper and 190mm wave front disc provide controllable stopping power. The eight litre petrol tank means less frequent stops to fill up, and because it is located beneath the floor pan it actually lowers the scooter's centre of gravity for improved handling.
The Speedfight is practical too; under the seat is a substantial storage bay that is large enough to take a full-face helmet and there's a dual function 12V socket to keep mobile phones and other devices charged on the move.
Anyone aged 16 and over can enjoy the 50cc Speedfight Darkside (having completed Compulsory Basic Training) and drivers who obtained a full car licence before February 2001 are automatically entitled to ride one, without L-plates.
The Speedfight Darkside is available from Peugeot scooter dealers at an RRP of £2259, but is on offer until the end of July for just £1939. Visit www.peugeotscooters.co.uk or call 01202 810100 for more information and details of local stockists.
