IKON's for a biking icon

IKON have developed a range of rear shock absorbers to upgrade both handling and comfort on Harley-Davidson 883 and 1200 Sportsters. Popular worldwide for their distinctive look and sound, both road-holding and ride on these Milwaukee models can be transformed by fitting IKON's 7610 series shocks.  Traditionally styled to suit the Sportster's looks, the 7610 Series shocks have a Triple Rate Progressive Spring that adapts to different loads on the bike, such as carrying luggage or passengers. Most standard springs are designed for 'full bump load' that will cope with maximum suspension travel while the bike is carrying maximum weight - which makes them quite unforgiving under more normal conditions. Progressive springs have a rising rate, so that they move more easily over smaller bumps, such as uneven road surfaces. Preload can be adjusted to three settings, as on most conventional shocks, but IKON also offer four-position rebound damping adjustment, which can be altered by hand, no tools required! This allows riders to fine tune the suspension to the conditions, e.g. carrying luggage or windy weather. All IKON shock absorbers are individually dyno-tested before leaving the Australian factory, to ensure consistency and quality. They can also be rebuilt and/or re-valved for a longer service life. They come with either eye or clevis mounts and customers can choose black or chrome bodies and springs, with or without covers, to suit their style. Prices start from just £279.30 per pair (including VAT), rising to £345.80 for the full-chrome option. Call 01926 430562 or visit www.ikonshocks.co.uk for details of fitments and prices.
