A small wonder from Wunderlich

BMW specialists Wunderlich have introduced a small yet vital piece of protective equipment for the liquid-cooled R1200 models. Mounted on the pivot point of the side-stand on R1200GS/Adventure LC and R1200R/RS LC models, the safety cut-out switch is exposed to damage, particularly when riding on dirt tracks. Wunderlich's SwitchGuard helps to prevent stones and debris from the road or trail, and even riding boots, coming into contact with the switch and disabling the bike. It also provides protection in the event of a slow speed fall or drop. A simple solution to what can become a serious inconvenience that has, quite literally, stopped riders in their tracks, the Wunderlich SwitchGuard is made of hard-anodized aluminium and securely attaches to the frame.  It costs £39 including VAT and fits the R1200GS LC (2013-onwards) and the R1200 Adventure LC, as well as the R1200R LC and R1200RS LC.
