Sporty Slipscreen for 1200GS
The Machineart Slipscreen helps cut wind
noise and buffeting and is ideal for dirt-road and hot-weather riding,
when minimal physical obstruction and maximum airflow are an advantage.
At 266mm tall the Slipscreen is short enough not to upset airflow at helmet level, yet creates a pocket of still air up to chest level for comfort whilst riding on the road, helping to cut the wind noise and buffeting many riders experience with the standard GS screen.
Should the rider need to negotiate a trail, the compact dimensions allow complete freedom of movement – especially useful when standing on the footpegs. Its opaque colour encourages the rider to look at the trail ahead, not down at the front wheel - tempting when navigating rough terrain.
Made from high impact ABS, it fixes to the LC GS's existing screen mounts, so it retains both the tilt and height adjustment, covering the Navigator GPS unit in its low position and extending 63.5mm above it in its highest setting.
When cold weather returns, the Slipscreen can be quickly removed – it's held on by just two fasteners – and the standard screen re-fitted.
Designed to fit 2013-2015 liquid-cooled BMW R1200GS and Adventure models, the Slipscreen is available in two colours, Granite Grey Metallic and Black. It retails at £85 including VAT, and will be available from the middle of September from www.nippynormans.com.
