IKON Shocks for Indian Scout
Suspension specialists IKON have developed upgraded rear shock
absorbers for Indian's new Scout.Like many cruisers, the Scout gives a somewhat unforgiving ride, due
in part to the relatively low amount of suspension travel afforded by
the low-slung rear end, and also because the standard shock absorbers
are set to cope with two riders plus luggage. Since they are are non-adjustable for rebound, they cannot be
fine-tuned to suit solo riding. IKON's 7610 series shocks offer a dramatic improvement to both the
handling and comfort of the Scout.Styled to suit the traditional cruiser look, but with thoroughly
modern features, the 7610 Series have a Triple Rate Progressive
Spring – using a rate similar to the original – and Twin tube
Hydraulic Damping for a consistent and comfortable ride on a variety
of road surfaces. Three Position Spring Preload and Four-Position Rebound Damping –
adjustable by hand, no tools required – provides the fine control
that enables the rider to set up the machine for road conditions and
load. IKON 7610 Shock Absorbers are individually dyno tested before leaving
the Australian factory, to ensure consistency and quality throughout.
They're are also rebuildable and can be re-valved. IKONs for the Scout come in two versions: SP9 - black body and chrome
springs, or the SP14, which has black body and black springs. Prices
start from just £279.30 per pair (including VAT). Call 01926 430562 or visit www.ikonshocks.co.uk for details.
