Ride to Morocco and back with GlobeBusters
GlobeBusters’ new Moroccan tour is an ideal introduction to overland travel for riders wanting to experience biking in a new continent.
Starting and finishing in Portsmouth, this 3000-mile tour lasts for 19 days and takes riders on the ferry to Santander, then down through Spain and across the Straits of Gibraltar to Morocco, where they will enjoy a full 11 days’ motorcycling.
Morocco offers an incredible variety of roads to travel - through the sand seas of the Sahara Desert, high into the Atlas Mountains, over the Tizi n'Test and Tizi n'Tichka passes - at 2260m the highest in North Africa – the switchbacks and hairpin bends of the Dades and Todra Gorges, the Atlantic coast road and the winding narrow streets of Marrakech.
GlobeBusters always allow time on their tours and expeditions for riders to experience the culture and natural wonders of the places they visit, such as the majestic Ouzoud Waterfalls, the forests of the Ifrane National Park, the Roman ruins at Volubilis and the ancient Ait Benhaddou, a fortified city that has starred in many Hollywood blockbusters, including The Mummy and Gladiator.
The tour departs on 27th April and returns on 15th May. Prices start at £2,695, which includes all ferry crossings, bed & breakfast accommodation, a GlobeBusters Tour Leader on a motorcycle and, in Morocco, a driver/mechanic in a support vehicle, equipped with satellite phone.
Riders on a tight time schedule can fly to Malaga, pick up a rental bike and join the group for 13 days on the Morocco section of this tour. Prices for this start at £2695, which includes hire of a Triumph Tiger 800XC.
