MCN Festival kicks off this Weekend
Gates open for Britain's must-go-to outdoor motorcycling event at 9 am this Saturday and there's still time to make big savings on advance tickets
Now in its second year, the MCN Festival of Motorcycling is held at Peterborough Showground and offers opportunities to test ride new and classic bikes, see racing legends battle it out in the Transatlantic Trophy race series, enjoy stunt action and browse the huge retail, club & autojumble zones.
Leading manufacturers BWM, CCM, Ducati, Herald, Indian, KTM, Suzuki,Triumph, Victory and Yamaha will be bringing their 2016 models for visitors to test around the Cambridgeshire roads and Bultaco's all-new Brinco R moto-bike concept will be available to try for the first time in the UK.
Visitors can also experience motorcycling history up close – the National Motorcycle Museum is offering selection of classic bikes from its extensive collection for rides around closed roads at the Festival and there will be regular classic race bike parades too. Plus hundreds of bikes of all ages/styles to view in the expanded Club Zone.
Pick up a bargain from the huge retail area or seek out that elusive part in the new autojumble.
Live entertainment is guaranteed - Chris Walker will lead the Team GB in the Transatlantic Trophy short-track races, competing with Colin Edwards and the Americans. Stunt aces Steve Colley and Dave Coates will be displaying their exceptional, and very different, skills throughout the weekend.
Savings on advance tickets have been extended until midday on Friday 13th May. Advance day tickets cost just £15, compared to £19 on the gate, and children under 15 go free when accompanied by a paying adult. Weekend camping tickets are also available, at just £35 in advance, (£40 on the gate).
