Watsonian Sidecar kit for new Triumph T120

Watsonian have developed a sidecar fitting kit for Triumph's new T120 Bonneville.

Modern Bonnevilles have been the most popular choice of motorcycle for the British manufacturer's sidecars since their launch in 2000, thanks to their classic styling, low centre of gravity and torquey parallel twin engine.

Powered by a bigger 1200cc liquid cooled motor, the new T120 puts out 18% more power with 54% extra torque, making it even more attractive for sidecar work.

The development team at Watsonian went back to basics to create a fitting kit for the all-new frame on the T120, which has a shorter wheelbase than the previous model. The new kit is suitable for attaching Watsonian's Silk chassis, found on the Monza and Grand Prix sidecars, to the Triumph twin.

The model pictured is a GP700, a wide-bodied sidecar with a 70 cm bench seat, suitable for an adult + child. Its fibreglass body retains the traditional octagonal nose shape from the 1930s and is trimmed with  polished aluminium beading. The lockable boot measures 76 x 61 x 40 cm, providing plenty of secure luggage space. It is fitted with a a 15” wheel with stainless spokes. Prices start at £5995- for the GP700, in plain black, and the T120 fitting kit costs £350.
