Featherlight Cable for Featherweight GB350S

Venhill has responded to strong demand from Honda GB350S riders, with Featherlight specification clutch and throttle cable upgrade kits, offering an instant improvement in the feel, performance and long-term reliability of these controls.


The GB350S has quickly become one of the most popular machines on UK roads, praised for its classic simplicity and everyday usability. With many owners using the bike for commuting and urban riding, smooth and dependable controls are especially important; exactly where Venhill’s upgraded cables deliver.

Made to Venhill’s premium Featherlight specification, the new clutch and throttle cables are engineered to feel noticeably lighter at the lever and grip, while also lasting longer than standard items. Marine-grade stainless steel inner wires minimise stretch over time, maintaining consistent adjustment and response, while a PTFE ('teflon') liner reduces internal friction for smoother operation, sharper throttle feel and less need for regular lubrication.

Each cable is also Bird-caged: a specialist process in which solder is able to penetrate deep into the weave of the inner wire at the nipple. This creates a far stronger bond, reducing the risk of breakage under repeated stress, such as the constant stop-start riding that makes up much of the GB350S’ natural habitat.

Unlike mass-produced imported alternatives, every Venhill cable is made by hand in the UK at the company’s own factory, ensuring higher quality control, consistent fit and finish, and no long lead times or overseas shipping delays. Both cables are designed as direct replacements for the OE parts, making them a straightforward DIY upgrade for owners fitting at home.
